Police Log: Wakefield Man Arrested on Warrants

At 3:35 a.m. Aug. 29, Wakefield police called to Foundry Street to serve warrants. Robert McGunigle, 34, of 318 Water St. Apt. 6, Wakefield, was arrested on two warrants. The charges for each warrant weren't noted in the police log entry.

@12:19 a.m.: Police received a report of a damaged and knocked down yield sign in the area of Main Street and Albion Avenue. Sign was moved to the sign of the road until DPW could respond.

@3:24 a.m.: Police responded to Foundry Street on a report of a past breaking and entering. Police filed a report.

@7:52 a.m.: Police called to Main Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. However, it was later determined a female fell off her bike when she locked up her brakes while trying to avoid being hit by a motor vehicle, according to police. She was taken to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

@5:02 p.m.: Police called to the area of Richardson Street and Wakefield Avenue for a report of a motor vehicle crash. The caller reported a minor accident with no injuries.

@5:38 p.m.: Police responded to Elm Street for a report of a past breaking and entering. Police filed a report.

@7:14 p.m.: Police conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of North Avenue and Broadway. Renee Watson, 36, of 375 Broadway, Lynnfield, was arrested anc charged with operating a motor vehicle with license suspended (subsequent offense).
