Police Log: Wakefield Man Accused of Driving While on Drugs

At 7:58 p.m. Sept. 3, a cell phone caller reported being behind a vehicle all over the road, crosing the yellow lines multiple times on Nahant Street toward North Avenue, according to Wakefield Police. Police made a motor vehicle stop on Richardson Avenue. Angelo Luongo, 32, of 41 Richardson Ave., Wakefield, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs.

@12:33 p.m.: Police called to the Water and Delcarmine Streets area for a report of a motor vehicle crash. No injuries or tows reported.

@10:42 a.m.: Police responded to the area of Forest and Main Streets for a report of suspicious activity. Christopher Leone, 27, of 19 West Wyoming Ave. Apt. 4, Melrose, was arrested on a warrant charging him with being a fugitive from justice.

@5:26 p.m.: Police called to the area of Farm Street and Nahant Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident. No injuries or tows reported.

Sept. 4

@8:17 a.m.: Police called to the Route 129 rotary for a report of a minor motor vehicle accident. State Police assisted. No injuries or tows reported.

@5:27 p.m.: Police conducted motor vehicle stop on Main Street. Police are seeking a summons again Dan Philbrick, 31, of 216 Lynn Fells Parkway, Melrose, on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and not having an inspection sticker.

Sept. 5

@7:53 a.m.: Police called to the area of Farm Street and Old Nahant Road for a report of a motor vehicle crash. No injuries or tows reported.

Sept. 6

@6:57 a.m.: Police responded to the area of Otis and Crescent Streets on a report of a minor motor vehicle crash. A private tow company was notified.

@1:09 p.m.: Police called to the area of Vernon and Emerald Streets. Hector Arias, 30, of 67 Aborn St. Apt. 2, Peabody, was arrested and charged with possession to distribute a class B drug, subsequent offense, and failing to signal while driving.
