Police Log: Wakefield Driver Summonsed on Suspended License Charge

Police summonsed to court a Wakefield woman for driving with a suspended license in Wakefield on July 5th.

Wakefield Police Log for Thursday, July 5th, 2012: The following information was supplied by the Wakefield Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Featured item: A Wakefield resident was summonsed to court for driving with a suspended license. Police said they observed a female operator driving a Ford Fusion 41 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone. When police conducted a motor vehicle stop, they determined the driver didn't have a valid license. 

Other incidents: 
8:32 a.m. - The owner of a red BMX bicycle reported it stolen. The owner said he had parked the bike on Houston Street during the fireworks and when he came back it was missing.

1:24 p.m. - A resident reported a bag was stolen during the fireworks the previous night. The owner said he had left the bag inside a convertible with its top down, and when he returned the bag was gone. The bag contained prescription medication.

7:40 p.m. - A resident reported to police that his wallet was stolen while he was walking around Lake Quannapowitt. The victim said he parked on Quannapowitt Parkway and left his vehicle unlocked. The missing wallet contained $40 in cash and credit cards.

9:37 p.m. - A female walking around Lake Quannapowitt reported that a male in a white Honda threw a quarter at her. Police checked the area but could not locate a white Honda or any suspects. 

11:29 p.m. - A taxi driver reported that somoene threw a bottle at him while he was traveling on Main Street and knocked out one of the car's headlights. The damage is estimated to be about $200. Police were unable to locate any suspects in the area.
