Police Log, Feb. 7: Woburn Man Arrested for Attempted Murder

6:12 p.m. - Wakefield Police, Woburn Police and Mass State Police located a suspect wanted for an attempted murder and kidnapping charge out of Woburn on Spring Street in Wakefield. Read here for the full story.

Other Incidents:
10:30 a.m. - Police located a small dog, a pug, walking in and out of traffic on Green Street. The owner was located and the dog was returned.

12:04 p.m.  - A water main break was reported at the corner of Chestnut Street and Tuttle Street. The Department of Public Works was notified and the Water Department shut off the water supply.

12:22 p.m. - A Wakefield man will be summoned to court for driving an unregistered car. Police said they observed the man traveling south on Main Street in a gray Hummer with a defective brake light. As the man turned onto Water Street, police enacted a traffic stop and discovered the car's registration had been revoked. The driver will faces charges out of Malden District Court for operating a vehicle with a revoked registration, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, and a brake light violation.

7:36 p.m.  - A resident of Crescent Street reported she was being harassed by a neighbor. Police advised the woman to follow up in civil court if she wants to take the issue further. 

7:40 p.m. - Wakefield Police responded to a minor car accident on Hanson Street. One car hit another parked car in a parking lot, and the drivers began to yell at one another. Police diffused the situation.

10:08 p.m. - A North Reading man will be summoned to court after police allegedly observed him speeding on Lowell Street, then determined he did not have a valid driver's license. The man will face charges in Malden District Court of speeding, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Wednesday, Feb. 8:
1:41 a.m. - A man from Plantation, FL will be summoned to Malden District Court for allegedly driving without a license and swerving in and out of his lane. Wakefield Police said they observed the man driving south on Main Street in a 2005 gray Nissan Altima when they observed the car swerve into the center of the road. Police conducted a traffic stop and determined the operator had a suspended license.
