Police Log: Bomb Threat Suspect Thought to Be in Wakefield

Wakefield Police investigated a lead early Thursday morning that a man who threatened to blow up a building in Boston was staying in Wakefield.

Featured item: State Police notified Wakefield Police at 2 a.m. on Thursday night that a male who had threatened to blow up a building could be staying at a residence on Brig Street in Wakefield. However, the suspect was located by police in Boston, not in Wakefield.

Other incidents:
10:10 a.m. - A caller reported seeing someone illegally dumping building materials on the train tracks near Railroad Avenue. The transit police were notified.

1:05 p.m. - Police assisted in removing an unwanted person from a business on Water Street.

4:20 p.m. - Wakefield Police responded to a car accident at the on ramp to 128 North. No injuries were reported.

7:03 p.m. - Police intervened in a harassment case between two individuals over Twitter. All parties agreed to stop contacting one another.

9:15 p.m. - A minor car crash occured at the on-ramp of 128 North at North Avenue. No injuries were reported.
