Police Get Calls About a Man Lying on the Sidewalk, a Man in the Bushes, and a Man in a Canoe

Information provided by Wakefield Police. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, July 12 and Sunday, July 14.
On Friday, July 12 at 10:30 a.m. a car was reported vandalized in the Walgreen’s parking lot on Main Street. 

At 11:42 a.m. police were informed by numerous callers of a vehicle that rammed another near Chestnut Street and North Ave. A summons was soon issued to a 67 year old Danvers man for reckless operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon +60, leaving the scene of property damage, and passing  on the right where prohibited. 
At 11:45 a.m. a rollover accident was reported on Main Street, allegedly involving  the individual from the previously mentioned incident.
At 12:20 p.m. a past break-in was reported on Chestnut Street.
At 1:26 p.m. an individual reportedly fell from their skateboard on Main Street.
At 3:47 p.m. Wakefield assisted the State Police Fugitive Unit with the apprehension of an individual on Main Street. Police arrested Gary M. Duff-Turcotte, 18, 15 Hussy Hill Road, Rochester, on a warrant.
At 4:21 p.m. a water main break was reported on Avon Street.
At 4:54 p.m. police arrested a 17 year old female on a warrant.
At 5:02 p.m. an unwanted former employee was reported at a business near Farm Street. The individual left without incident.
At 5:16 p.m. an individual reported a past larceny on Wiley Street.
At 6:27 p.m. a caller reported a man lying on the sidewalk and possibly in need of medical aid at Main Stret and North Ave. The man was apparently just waiting for a bus and was sent on his way.
At 7:32 p.m. a caller reported a suspicious male in the bushes across the street on Richardson Ave. The individual checked out OK and was sent on his way.
At 9:32 p.m. a noise complaint was received from Harrington Court.
At 10:13 p.m. a domestic incident was reported on Audubon Road. Police arrested Marco E. Haynes, 41, 39 Boylston Street, Boston, and charged him with assault and battery – domestic.

On Saturday, July 13 at 12:46 a.m. an accident was reported on Myrtle Ave.
At 8:28 a.m. an individual in a canoe was sent on their way from Crystal Lake.
At 9:41 a.m. police issued a summons to a 28 year old Billerica man charging him with operating with a revoked/suspended license and operating at a speed greater than reasonable and proper.
At 10:36 a.m. a hit and run accident was reported from the previous night on Chapman Road.
At 1:02 p.m. a bicyclist was reportedly struck by a vehicle at Water Street and Vernon Street.
At 4:50 p.m. three syringes were reportedly found on Broadway.
At 5:53 p.m. two individuals on Delcarmine Street were reported to be looking into cars. Police found no break-ins had occurred and the two claimed they were picking up cigarettes off the ground.
At 7:16 p.m. a suspicious man was reported on Everett Ave. He was a prospective homebuyer.
At 9:31 p.m. police took a report of an online scam attempt.
At 9:47 p.m. a woman reported that an upstairs neighbor on Salem Street was jumping up and down just to aggravate her. Both parties were spoken to.
At 9:52 p.m. a large group of youths were sent on their way from near Prospect Street.
At 10:22 p.m. an erratic operator was reported near Church Street.
At 10:40 p.m. a caller reported seeing an altercation near Main Street and Church Street where occupants from one vehicle got out and smashed the window of another. The other vehicle apparently never contacted police.
At 11:34 p.m. police received a noise complaint about some youths playing basketball on Main Street.

On Sunday, July 14 at 12:06 a.m. police received another noise complaint about youths playing basketball on Main Street.
At 12:09 a.m. officers gave several youths a ride home from around Prospect Street and Morrison Street after being informed they were running in and out of the road.
At 12:31 a.m. a caller reported hearing movement in an apartment on Pleasant Street that was supposed to be unoccupied. The tenants turned out to be home early from vacation.
At 1:56 a.m. an officer checked on a woman who was reportedly distraught on Hickory Hill Road. The woman turned out to have been in an argument with her mother.
At 2:14 a.m. police placed a 19 year old woman into protective custody.
At 11:50 a.m. police  and the medical examiner were informed of a deceased individual in a room at the Clarion Inn.
At 6:14 p.m. a woman reported a purse stolen from her vehicle on Crescent Street.
At 9:40 p.m. a vehicle with a smashed window was reported near Elm Street and Western Ave.
At 11:39 p.m. police were informed of illegal dumping happening on Tuttle Street.
