Only A Couple Of Halloween Pranks Reported Thursday

Information provided by Wakefield Police. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Thursday, October 31, 2013.

At 7:44 a.m. a woman called to report smoke in a home on Greenwood Street. The Fire Department determined that it was from a boiler malfunction.
At 9:56 a.m. a man reportedly fell in his driveway on Wilson Ave. and was treated at the scene.
At 9:59 a.m. a man reported that a tow truck had possibly damaged his vehicle while removing another vehicle on Pleasant Street.
At 10:21 a.m. a woman reported that she struck another vehicle on Main Street but the other driver drove away.
At 12:47 p.m. an officer was flagged down near Lincoln Street and Smith Street by a person who spotted somebody urinating on a building. The individual was spoken to and sent on his way.
At 1:24 p.m. a caller said contractors were obstructing travel on Summit Ave. with 2x4s in the street. No obstructions were found.
At 2:43 p.m. police took a call about an unwanted party at a Main Street restaurant.
At 4:09 p.m. a caller reported their son’s cell phone had been stolen at school.
At 6:19 p.m. a speeding vehicle was reported on Madison Ave. It was gone on arrival.
At 6:40 p.m. a Montrose Ave. resident reported their house was struck by eggs.
At 7:45 p.m. a caller reported that an elderly man had been seen taking photos of her children. In a follow up email, police reported that the man said he was a photographer and showed officers the images he had taken. Outside of showing poor judgment, police indicated that nothing inappropriate was found in the images and no charges were filed. 
At 7:56 p.m. a caller reported a large group of youths causing a disturbance behind Greenwood Street. Police spoke to a group of about 50 youths and sent them on their way.
At 8:27 p.m. a vehicle was towed from Greenwood Ave. for revoked insurance.
At 10:03 p.m. a Bartley Street resident reported youths threw something at her house and ran away.
At 11 p.m. police took a report involving a suspicious email.
At 11:02 p.m. a man on Meriam Street reported some people banging at his door. The matter was resolved and the individuals were sent on their way.
At 2:59 a.m. on Friday, November 1, a caller on Redfield Road reported spotting an individual going through cars. Reading Police responded to the scene.
