Neighbor, Officer Reported Struck In Domestic Dispute

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012.
At 7:38 a.m., a citizen reported a stolen Bobcat vehicle.
At 3:06 p.m., a Hillcrest Drive resident reported that somebody claiming to be from the alarm company was at the door – and that the alarm company had claimed that they did not send anyone there. Further investigation confirmed that the individual in question was an alarm company employee.
At 4:15 p.m., a minor accident was reported on Water Street.
At 4:36 p.m., an accident was reported near Vernon Street and Water Street.
At 5:31 p.m., a suspicious vehicle was reported on Emerson Street.
At 9:10 p.m., a caller reported an active assault was happening on Lafayette Street. Wakefield Police report that a female neighbor reported being struck in the chin when she tried to pull a man away from a woman that he was allegedly striking. The neighbor reportedly returned to her apartment and called police. The other woman was reportedly uncooperative and hostile to police when they arrived and later allegedly struck one of them, as well her alleged assailant.  Police arrested a 34 year old Reading man for assault and battery and assault and battery – domestic. They also arrested a 34 year old Wakefield woman for assault and battery – domestic, assault and battery on a police officer, and disturbing the peace.
