Man Reportedly Tried To Enter Woman's Car on Main Street

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Thursday, January 16, 2014.
At 8 a.m. police were informed that a child was locked in a car on Lake Street. The matter was resolved.
At 10:17 a.m. police arrested Robert G. Pailer III, 35, 101 Broadway, Wakefield, and charged him on a warrant for a credit card fraud case.
At 1:04 p.m. a bag of hypodermic needles was recovered on a sidewalk on Greenwood Ave.
At 1:18 p.m. a caller on Smith Street reported a suspicious red Toyota pickup truck parked in front of a bank, with a man looking inside. The individual turned out to be waiting for a friend who was in a nearby store.
At 1:38 p.m. a woman on Main Street reported that a man had just attempted to enter her vehicle while she was in it. The suspect was described as a white male with blonde hair, light skin, and a green puffy jacket.
At 4:09 p.m. a pedestrian was reported struck by a car on Water Street.
At 4:40 p.m. a caller on Avon Street reported somebody struck their car but apparently left a note.
At 6:14 p.m. an officer stood by while a motorist changed a tire on Water Street.
At 6:44 p.m. police took a call about a man in a black Dodge Charger parked all day near a playground on Melvin Street and Water Street and using a laptop computer. He checked out OK.
At 7:16 p.m. an intoxicated man reportedly caused a disturbance on Main Street and was transported to a nearby hospital.
