Man Facing OUI, Drug Charges After Allegedly Nodding Off Behind Wheel

Information provided by the Wakefield Police. Where arrests, are mentioned, it does indicate a conviction.

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, August 23 and Sunday, August 25, 2013.

On Friday, August 23 at 10:34 a.m. police took a report involving credit card fraud.
At 1:37 p.m. an accident was reported on Main Street in front of Galvin Middle School.
At 2:47 p.m. a caller on Strathmore Road reported that their car was hit eggs, with other neighbor cars having been hit with eggs in recent days.
At 3:59 p.m. a caller on Kendrick Road had a complaint about a vehicle revving its engine.
At 8:23 p.m. a an officer spotted a man who appeared to be sleeping behind the wheel on the Exit 42 ramp at 128. Police arrested Michael B. Leary, 30, 251 Worthen East Road, Lexington, and charged him with OUI Drugs, Possession of a Class B drug with intent to distribute – to wit, Percocet, and Possession of a Class C drug with intent to distribute – to wit, Xanax. The vehicle was towed to the station for a drug search. 
At 10:14 p.m. a caller reported a man appeared to be trying to get into a the rear of a building on Richardson Ave. Police found no crime committed.

On Saturday, August 24 at 3:55 a.m. a caller on Albion Street reported a vehicle struck a pole and then fled the scene. The operator was later located and fire and emergency personnel responded.
At 9:34 a.m. police took a call about a car parked on Madison Ave. It turned out to be broken down.
At 12:01 p.m. a loose rowboat was recovered on the lake at Spaulding Street.
At 12:05 p.m. a barber on Lowell Street reported a client had passed out in the barber chair. The individual was taken to a nearby hospital.
At 12:11 p.m. police responded to a Chestnut Street for a neighbor dispute involving cigarette smoke coming through a window.

At 12:34 p.m. a man reported his car window was smashed overnight on Andrews Road.
At 1:56 p.m. a man reported his wallet and keys were stolen from a locker on Broadway.
At 2:11 p.m. police responded to Cedar Street for a report that a man had threatened his daughter’s boyfriend.
At 3:14 p.m. a caller reported a possible domestic dispute in a car near Cedar Court. The individuals turned out to have been laughing in the car.
At 4:22 p.m. an accident was reported near Water Street and Montrose Ave.
At 6:38 p.m. a past hit and run accident was reported on Franklin Street.

On Sunday, August 25 at 12:50 a.m. a caller on Eunice Circle reported a small dark vehicle with a deflated tire was driving around. It was gone on arrival.
At 8:58 a.m. a caller reported being threatened by a neighbor. It turned out to be a dispute over noise and peace was restored.
At 4:52 p.m. a woman reported her pocketbook was stolen. It was later found, having been just misplaced.
At 8:13 p.m. police issued a summons to a 27 year old Peabody man charging him with operating with a suspended/revoked license.
