Man Charged With Stealing Poultry, Sneakers

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Tuesday, September 3, 2014.
At 11:44 a.m. police took a report of vandalism on Chestnut Street over the weekend.
At 12:37 p.m. a caller reported a woman was driving near Water Street and Valley Street with a gas nozzle and hose dragging behind it. Police located the vehicle and a gas station employee was also on scene to help.
At 3:20 p.m. a caller reported an iPhone stolen on Audubon Road.
At 4:06 p.m. a caller reported a stolen truck. It turned out to be a misunderstanding between an employee and employer.
At 9:23 p.m. police were informed of a Porsche in a parking lot on Albion Street with two flat tires. Police spoke with the owner.
At 11:33 p.m. an officer was flagged down near Farm Street and Water Street to take a report of a possibly drunk man walking in and out of traffic. Police arrested Jason E. Langill, 43, 286 Newbury Street, Peabody, and charged him with receiving stolen property less than $250 – Poultry from Whole Foods; another count of receiving stolen property (Nike sneakers), two counts of breaking in to a vehicle/boat in the nighttime for a felony, and on a warrant.
