Mail Scam, Stolen iPhone Among Thursday Reports

Information provided by Wakefield Police. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Thursday, October 10, 2013. 


At 9:42 a.m. a suspicious occupied red Ford Taurus was reported on Water Street. It was gone on arrival.
At 10:28 a.m. a stolen  iPhone was reported at the high school.
At 12:22 p.m. a female trespasser was reported on Arundel Ave. She was gone on arrival.
At 12:32 p.m. a man reported his ex-wife had cashed one of his personal checks.
At 3:45 p.m. some youths were sent on their way from in front of the library after reportedly causing a disturbance.
At 5:02 p.m. police took a report involving a mail scam.
At 5:12 p.m. a caller reported finding an iPhone on his lawn on Salem Street.
At 7:16 p.m. a caller on Lafayette Street reported finding a phone.
