Juvenile Charged With Knife Assault

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, September 20, and Sunday, September 22, 2013.

On Friday, Sept. 20 at 8:24 a.m, police took a walk-in fraud report.
At 9:03 a.m. a caller reported tires slashed on Elm Street.
At 9:54 a.m. a caller reported the driver of a white Ford Explorer was dumping trash on people’s lawns on Prospect Street. The vehicle was gone on arrival.
At 11:58 a.m. police took a call about a couple of solicitors on North Ave.
At 2:50 p.m. a Water Street resident reported a suspicious white van driven by a man with grey hair and a mustache had left when he pulled into his house. Nothing was found out of order.
At 5:19 p.m. a couple of people were sent on their way after a trespassing complaint on Water Street.
At 7:18 p.m. police took a report involving construction noise on Furness Circle.
At 8:36 p.m. some youths were reportedly causing a disturbance on Foundry Street.
At 10:04 p.m. a caller reported some youths causing a disturbance on Ballister Street.

On Saturday, Sept. 21 at 1:30 a.m. a caller reported a suspicious vehicle near Delcarmine and Water Street. Police found a couple arguing.
At 4:04 a.m. a 7-11 clerk reported there was a taxi driver in the parking lot with  a passed out passenger. Police policed a 23 year old town resident into protective custody.
At 10:33 a.m. a Church Street resident called about two suspicious men who had knocked at her door for an extended period of time.
At 12:13 p.m. police took a report involving juveniles sending threatening text messages.
At 2:23 p.m. an individual reported being assaulted by a youth with a knife in the cemetery on Church Street. Police arrested a 15 year old for assault with a dangerous weapon.
At 5:52 p.m. a man was reported crouched in the street near Avon Street and Main Street. Police helped him get home.
At 8:35 p.m. police responded to a verbal dispute between a male and a female on Main Street.
At 10:58 p.m. police went to the Dockside over a report of someone in the parking lot possibly needing assistance. The individual checked out OK and left with a friend.

On Sunday, September 22 at 12:54 a.m. a caller near Walden Road reported a suspicious white RV with a female operator and a male passenger.
At 4:22 a.m. an individual passed out in a vehicle was reported on Salem Street. The individual was picked up at the police station by a relative.
At 1:52 p.m. police checked on a verbal dispute between two men on Azarian Court.
At 2:26 p.m. police took a complaint from an Oak Street resident about an ongoing issue involving an unleashed dog.
