Fire on an MBTA Bus, and a Vehicle Break-In Spotted

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Wednesday, August 14, 2013.
At 8:01 a.m. a caller reported that a five or six year old child was walking near Main Street and Franklin Street by himself. Police checked the area.
At 10:23 a.m. police took a report of a broken window on Foundry Street.
At 12:25 p.m. a possible break-in was reported on Willow Street. The department’s K9 unit responded to the area in an effort to locate a suspect.
At 4:01 p.m. a fire was reported on an MBTA bus near North Ave and Monroe Street. The fire was extinguished and the bus evacuated with no injury.
At 6:02 p.m. police took a report of identity theft.
At 9:32 p.m. police took a call about some youths making noise on Foster Street.
At 11:31 p.m. police responded to a report of a verbal argument between two females on Main Street.
At 1:45 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, a caller reported that two young men appeared to have broken into a van across the street from his home on Old Colony Drive. Police issued a summons to an 18 year old Wakefield male for breaking and entering in the nighttime for a felony.
