Dangerous Sinkhole Reported on Quannapowitt Parkway

The following is an excerpt from the Wakefield Police Department's log:
Wednesday, Aug. 7
11:23 a.m. a caller reported that he was locked out of his home on Albion Street. The Fire Department was notified. 
2:04 p.m. a caller reported a suspicious man in his 60s hanging around in the park on Lake Avenue. The caller said that he is making people uncomfortable. The man was with his granddaughter. 
4 p.m. police moved several youths from trespassing behind the US Post Office. 
4:35 p.m. Wakefield Police assisted in searching for a missing man/runaway from Medford. 
4:46 p.m. a caller reported a disagreement with a neighbor over a dog that was in heat. The animal control officer reported that no crime has occurred. 
5:29 p.m. a caller reported that his license plates were stolen on Middlesex Street. 
6:17 p.m. a caller reported a past motor vehicle break-in on Orsini Drive. The vehicle was left unsecure. 
6:23 p.m. a caller reported a boat that was trespassing in the water at the south end of the lake. 
8:03 p.m. a caller reported a hazardous sinkhole on Quannapowitt Parkway. A traffic cone was placed over the sink hole. 
Thursday, Aug. 8 
1:25 p.m. a caller reported fireworks being set off in the area. 
4:01 a.m. a security system reports a rear door alarm on Main Street. The alarm activation was accidental by an employee.
