Cyclist Struck By Vehicle, Brought To Lahey

At 11:27 a.m., police assisted the board of health in attempting to check on some reported health code violations on Second Street. Nobody was at the residence at the time.
At  1:19 p.m., a gas station attendant reported that a customer had driven off without paying. The customer maintained that it was an oversight and returned to pay the gas station.
At 2:25 p.m., multiple callers reported that a cyclist was struck by a vehicle at North Ave. and Church Street. The patient was transported by EMS to Lahey Clinic.
At 2:39 p.m., a minor accident was reported at Prospect Street and North Ave.
At 3:35 p.m., a caller reported a possible domestic dispute in front of the library. Soon after, police placed a man into protective custody.
At 3:45 p.m., an Old Nahant Road resident reported that somebody left a suspicious item in her driveway, and that the object appeared to be designed to flatten tires.
At 4:08 p.m., a vehicle break-in was reported on New Salem Street.
At 5:18 p.m., a caller reported that a youth was operating a go kart down West Park Drive. An officer spoke to the subject’s grandparents.
At 7:26 p.m., a caller reported his son’s tires were slashed on Gould Street.
At 7:51 p.m., a domestic disturbance was reported on Hart Street. Soon after, police arrested James A. Fletcher Jr., 43, 4 Hart Street, Wakefield, for assault and battery on an individual over 60 or disabled with injury.
