Car Strikes Tree, And Tree Removal Scam Reported

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Wednesday, November 6, 2013.
At 8:21 a.m. a caller on Grove Street reported a rental truck parked on the street with a man with a clipboard walking down a driveway. He checked out OK.
At 10:31 a.m. a car reportedly struck a tree at the intersection of Parker Road and Prospect Street.
At 11:04 a.m. a woman called to report that she was the victim of a tree removal scam.
At 11:17 a woman on Bennett Street called to report she was locked out of her home with children inside. She got back in before police arrived.
At 12:05 p.m. a man walked in to report receiving harassing letters.
At 2:05 p.m. police took a report involving some tools stolen from a vehicle.
At 2:27 p.m. a caller reported a blonde woman in a white sweater was wandering into traffic. She was gone on arrival.
At 5:22 p.m. some youths were reportedly fighting in a parking lot on Main Street.
At 5:43 p.m. police, fire and state police responded to a report of an accident on the 129 Rotary.
At 6:20 p.m. police took a report of a suspicious Ford F150 on Foundry Street apparently in search of scrap metal.
