Caller Reports Woman Vandalized Car With Baby Carriage

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Tuesday, January 8, 2013.
At 9:07 a.m., a caller reported that a woman pushing a baby carriage had just walked across the parking lot and scratched the car with the carriage. He reported that he confronted her and she kept walking. An officer arrived and the two agreed to resolve the matter.
At 9:45 a.m. a syringe was reported found on Church Street.
At 1:09 p.m., a suspicious male was reported in a building on Main Street.
At 2:43 p.m. a caller reported a suspicious man on the corner of Lowell Street and Coolidge Park had asked where the high school bus stop was. The man turned out to be waiting for one of the exchange students to get off the bus. 
At 4:06 p.m., a caller reported a group of youths out on the ice. An officer advised them the ice was unsafe and sent them along.
At 4:40 p.m., police took a call from a local nursing home about a possible theft.
At 5:31 p.m., police and fire personnel were informed of smoke coming from the rear carpentry area at the vocational school. As fire and EMT personnel arrived on the scene, officers assisted with traffic and crowd control.
