A tropical bird, apparently some sort of parrot, flew into a daycare center near Greenwood Fire Station on Monday. The owner recovered it the next day, reports the fire chief.

A bird that reportedly flew into a daycare center near the Greenwood Fire Station on Monday was reunited with its owner within a day, Fire Chief Michael Sullivan told Wakefield Patch on Tuesday.

The bird had reportedly been captured unharmed and was taken to the fire station until the owner could be located. Sullivan reported that the owners live on Esmond Ave. and that they came to get their bird, apparently a variety of parrot, earlier in the day Tuesday.
