Arrest for OUI After Vehicle Strikes Pole

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, June 28 and Sunday, June 30.

At 8:41 a.m. on Friday, a lost wallet was turned in to the station.
At 9:07 a.m. a lost wallet was turned in.
At 9:41 a.m. a lost women’s wallet was turned in. The owner recovered it later.
At 10:45 a.m. an accident was reported on Main Street.
At 11:08 a.m. police responded to Garden Lane for a report of a disturbance between a landscaper and a homeowner.
At 2:28 p.m. a caller on Montrose Ave. reported a neighbor had dumped trash on his lawn. The matter was reportedly resolved.
At 4:14 p.m. a suspicious car was reported on Vernon Street.
At 5:18 p.m. a person turned in a found wallet.
At 10:03 p.m. police responded to a loud music complaint on Everett Ave.

On Saturday, June 29 at 2:07 a.m. an officer picked up two juveniles and dropped them at a grandmother’s house.

At 2:17 a.m. a caller reported beer bottles being thrown from a vehicle at the 129 rotary.
At 11:58 a.m. police took a report of credit card fraud.
At 1:15 p.m. a caller reported that he had video footage of somebody in a mask ringing his doorbell and running away the previous night.
At 3:48 p.m. police sent an individual on his way who had possibly been looking into a vehicle behind Main Street.
At 4:56 p.m. police arrested Joshua Vestal, 23, 212 Third Street, Lowell, on a warrant.
At 5:08 p.m. police arrested Crecencio Ramirez-Ramos, 40, 195 Beacon Hill Ave, Lynn, and charged him with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a red light/stop sign violation, and on a warrant involving motor vehicle offenses.
At 7:01 p.m. police took a call involving harassing phone calls.
At 9:07 p.m. an officer spoke to some youths who were banging on doors on Chestnut Street and running away.
At 9:24 p.m. a vandalism report came in from Main Street.
At 11:53 p.m. a man on Vernon Street reported an unknown female had knocked on his door requesting a ride home. Police placed a 26 year old woman into protective custody.

On Sunday, June 30 at 2:29 a.m. a car reportedly struck a pole on Albion Street. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital. Police charged Kimberly M. Trant, 23, 14 Margaret Road, Stoneham, and charged her with OUI Liquor.
At 9:09 a.m. a runner reportedly fell and struck his head near Willard Road.
At 9:19 a.m. a woman reported a 10 month old fell down some stairs. The child was taken to a nearby hospital.
At 11:02 a.m. an accident with a vehicle into a utility pole was reported near Water Street and Butler Ave.
At 4:24 p.m. a caller reported a dog left for an extended time in a red Prius parked on Broadway. The owner returned and the dog was fine.
At 4:26 p.m. police made a motor vehicle stop near Farm Street and Stone Way and arrested Darin L. Zenga, 33, 880 Bridge St., Lowell, and charged him with operating with a suspended/revoked license, operating at a speed greater than reasonable and proper, and on a warrant.
At 6:07 p.m. the fire department handled a call about somebody using a charcoal grill on the town common.
At 9:59 p.m. a caller reported smoke on Griffin Drive. It was coming from a controlled fire behind a residence.
