A multi-state Amber Alert issued Tuesday morning for Jackie Morris and her three boys has been cancelled after they were located in Bangor, Maine.

Morris, 32, of Vernon, Conn., and the boys are safe and in good condition, Vernon Police Det. James Grady told the Hartford Courant.

The kids and Morris were found in a hotel, multiple news outlets are reporting. Police said Morris does not have custody of her children, and did not return them to their biological father after a scheduled visit.

While police said there was no reason to believe the brothers were in physical danger, the boys — Ryan, 9, and 7-year-old twins Brandon and Dylan — did not show up at school on Monday or Tuesday of this week. And Connecticut State Police changed an initial Silver Alert to an Amber Alert because of the mother's mental health.

Morris was reportedly driving a Red 2004 Jetta with Connecticut license plate 876-YGJ, and has ties to Massachusetts and Maine.

Charges were not immediately filed against Morris, but could come after consultation with the state attorney's office, NBC Connecticut reports.

I feel sorry for the family. But seriously, this is the best news you can come up with for Natick - am amber alert from Connecticut Police. Connecticut is at least a 90 minute drive from Natick. Come on Patch. Give me Natick news! I can't believe this is the lead story on the Natick Patch at 4 p.m. on a Tuesday!

D Penta any time kids are missing it should be the lead story. Next time read the story, she has ties in MA. I know if it were my kids I would want it posted in other states.

In the last two days, there have been eight or nine Natick related posts on the Patch site, produced by staffers. There have been another five or six user submitted posts that were either about the community or produced by someone who lives or represents in the community. There's more Natick related content on the site at this moment then there has been in months. As I have said to you before, we're doing the best that we can right now with what we have. Please stop complaining about it.

So for a couple of days in the last 4 months there has been more Natick news than usual, but there has been STILL less Natick news in the last 4 months than there was last year at this time!! And if you don't want people to comment - don't have a comment box!

She has ties to Massachusetts - where? Springfield? Cape Cod - MetroWest - how about doing some reporting and tell us. Massachusetts is a big state you know - but then again Tony live in New Hampshire! When was the last time you stepped foot in Natick? Have you ever been to Natick since taking over as editor this year?
