A Fall On The Ice, A Drug Arrest, And A Foul-Tempered Woman

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Wednesday, January 9th, 2013.
At 9:22 a.m., a man reportedly slipped on the ice on Water Street. He declined medical treatment.
At 1:22 p.m. police and fire personnel helped a Humphrey Street resident with a house lockout.
At 1:33 p.m. a woman walked in to report a past hit and run on Main Street.
At 1:47 p.m. a bank manager on Albion Street reported that he had approached a car parked in the lot for a long period of time and that a woman had started yelling at him.
At 1:56 p.m. police took a larceny report.
At 3:38 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious vehicle with three young men. They checked out OK.
At 3:51 p.m. a caller reported three youths engaged in possible drug activity behind a Dumpster on Chestnut Street. An officer arrived at the scene and two youths reportedly fled, leaving behind a strong odor of marijuana. However, no marijuana was found. One mother came to retrieve her son, police planned to call the other parents.
At 5:17 p.m. a caller reported some youths riding a scooter around in the parking garage on Water Street. An officer sent them on their way.
At 5:19 p.m., an officer pulled over a motor vehicle and made a drug arrest. Police arrested William D. Alford, Jr., 30, 7 Manning Street, Roslindale, for possession of a class B drug (Methadone), possession of a class C drug (Alprazolam) and possession of an ounce or less of marijuana.
At 6:36 p.m. a caller reported that an erratic operator had struck a parked vehicle near Charles Street. Police issued a summons to a 57 year old Wakefield woman for two counts of leaving a scene of property damage.
