Mr. William Robert DiScipio, Sr. age 73, of Wakefield, died early Sunday morning in his loving home shared by his loving family, after a brief illness. Raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Angelina (Salvatore) DiScipio. A graduate of Lynn English High School, class of 1957, he had been working toward a degree from North Shore Community College. He also attended New England Broadcasting School. He lived in Lynn for the greater part of his life, as well as living in Hampstead, NH for ten years. He had lived in Wakefield for the past 7 years.

William served in the US Army reserves for six years. He worked as a sales rep for Hills Bros. Coffee for many years until his retirement 18 years ago. He was a proud libertarian, and lived an active, vegan lifestyle. He loved to run and enjoyed bowling and playing pool. His greatest joy came from spending time with his precious grandchildren.

He is survived by his three children; William DiScipio, Jr. and his wife Ikanyeng of Florida, Elaine Hoctor-deVos and her husband Gardner of Wakefield, and Tinamarie Gail DiScipio and Patrick McCadden of Haverhill; 8 grandchildren; Thomas William, Heather, Amandee, Aaron, William, Victoria, Nicholas, and Patrick; two brothers; Guy DiScipio and his wife Mary of Lynn and Michael DiScipio and his wife Janice of Groton, one sister; Jean Rogers and her husband Jack of Windham, NH; his former wife, Arlene E. (McCaigue) DiScipio of Lynn; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 3-7PM in the SOLIMINE, LANDERGAN AND RICHARDSON FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt 129), Lynn, with a service in the funeral home on Friday at 6PM.
