Philip Buccilli passed away suddenly at Massachusetts General Hospital on Sunday, January 19, 2014. He was only 58 years of age. Philip was born in Boston on January 6, 1956. He was raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1974 and from Bunker Hill Community College. Phil lived in Melrose for many years before moving to Wakefield over 20 years ago. Mr. Buccilli worked as a service technician for Xerox for over 30 years. He was a member of the Crystal Community Club in Wakefield, enjoyed golfing in his younger years and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Philip was the son of the late Ralph T. & Anna (Giammanco) Buccilli. Loving brother of Marie Ditoro and her late husband Robert of Melrose, Ralph P. Buccilli & his wife Jane of Melrose and Jane Stickney & her husband Richard of Malden. Beloved uncle of Robert E. Ditoro, Emilie Daniels, Jennifer Stickney, Paula & Lisa Buccilli. Great uncle of John, Christopher & Derek Daniels. Cherished cousin of Robert DiCroci. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Thursday, January 23rd at 8:45AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield at 10AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4:00-8:00PM. Burial will be private.
