Obituary: Grace Bruce, 91

Grace F. Bruce, 91, died on December 27, 2013 at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, NH after a lengthy illness. She was born on December 13, 1922 in Lawrence, MA, the daughter of the late Edward and Hilda (Eaton) Vandewalle.
Grace grew up in Wakefield, MA and has been a resident of Deerfield, NH since 1948. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and playing bingo. She also loved to travel.
She was predeceased by her husband, Otis R. Bruce Sr. who died in 1976, and by two brothers, Jean and Edward Vandewalle.
Her family includes her daughter Sherry Bohle of Chesapeake Beach, MD; three sons, Otis R. Bruce Jr. of Center Harbor, NH, Robert L. Bruce of Deerfield, NH, and Allan D. Bruce of Heartland, VT; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her sister Shirley Lennon of Stratham, NH; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013, from 2-4 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 2 Epping St., Raymond, NH. Burial will be in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater NH Chapter, 10 Ferry St., Suite 419, Concord, NH 03301.
