Obituary: Eileen (Brennan) Green, 49

Eileen Green, 49, was a director for the Wakefield Housing Authority.

Eileen (Brennan) Green, age 49, of Swampscott, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013, in Salem Hospital, after being stricken suddenly. She was the wife of Lloyd Green, and the daughter of the late Mary O'Connor. Born in Brighton, she was raised in Watertown. She has lived in Swampscott since 1999 A graduate of Watertown High School, class of 1981, and Salem State College where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business in 1993, Eileen worked as an executive director for the Wakefield Housing Authority.

She enjoyed being involved in fitness and activities including skiing, swimming and hiking. She was involved in the schools with her children and enjoyed gardening and reading. She was a member of the Finance Committee in Swampscott.

Besides her husband Lloyd of twenty years, she is survived by her two children, Emery, a student of Swampscott High School, and Elizabeth a student of Clarke Elementary School, her sisters, Kathleen Shea of Walpole and Patricia Dresselaers of Littleton, Colorado, and a niece Kristen Shea. She was the sister-in-law of Wayne and Lauren Green of Franklin and Marsha and Jim Hastings of Bellingham. She also leaves many loving friends, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Service Information: Her funeral will be held from the SOLIMINE, LANDERGAN & RICHARDSON FUNERAL HOME, 67 Ocean St. (Rt1A) Lynn on Monday at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, Swampscott at 10 a.m. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 3 - 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Emery and Elizabeth Scholarship Fund, c/o Salem Five Bank, Swampscott, MA 01907.
