Boston Yogurt joins the Mass in Motion Healthy Dining Program

(Wakefield, MA) NOVEMBER 21, 2013....Mass in Motion-Melrose/Wakefield is proud to announce that Boston Yogurt, located at 963 Main Street, Greenwood Plaza in Wakefield, has joined the Healthy Dining Program. The Mass in Motion Healthy Dining Program is an initiative of the City of Melrose and Town of Wakefield Health Departments and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

Restaurant foods tend to be higher in calories, fat and sodium, and portions are bigger than food prepared at home. But more and more customers are looking for healthier options when eating out.  The Mass in Motion Healthy Dining Program works with local food establishments to make healthy food and drink options available to customers. By offering healthy choices, local eateries are making it easier for Wakefield customers to make healthy choices.

“We are extremely excited to be recognized as a healthy dining option in our local communities. Our yogurts are a great source of calcium and protein, are low in cholesterol and sodium and they contain probiotics that promote a healthy immune and digestive system. All varieties are certified OU-D Kosher and all but four flavors are gluten-free,” said Lisa Urbaczewski of Boston Yogurt.
