Wakefielder Wins Grand Prize in Mass. Audubon Photo Contest

Winning photo was taken at Rough Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary in Rowley.

Paul Mozell of Wakefield is the grand prize winner in this year’s Mass Audubon statewide photo contest, the group announced this week.

Mozell’s image was described as showing “bare-limbed birches against the backdrop of a salt marsh illuminated by a late-afternoon sun.” The photo was taken at Mass. Audubon’s Rough Meadows Wildlife Sancutary in Rowley.

“That is such a beautiful place,” Mozell said. “I remember scrambling around to find the perfect place to set up my tripod, racing to get some good images before the sun set.”

Mozell’s picture and other 2013 contest entries can be viewed at this link.
