Wakefield Illustrator Has Upcoming Children's Book Signings

Wakefield resident, Sydney Smith will be having several book signings for the recently published children’s book, “Eldon The Spectacular Elf”  which she has illustrated.  

This is the first book of the Eldon series about a big bumbling lovable elf who on a suggestion from Grandfather Christmas goes to search for his life’s work.  

Smith will be having book signings at the Beauty Café at 515 Main St Melrose on December 6th from 6pm -8pm,  and at Kidcasso on December 7 during  the Holiday Stroll from 3pm -7pm at 101 Albion St Wakefield. 

On December 15th at Melrose Holiday at the Hourglass Gift Gallery at 458 Main St Melrose. Smith, earned a BFA from Kansas City Art Institute & MFA from University of Iowa in printmaking. A former school teacher,she recently retired after 18 years.  Now a Wakefield resident, she grew up in the Midwest and moved to Wakefield after living in Los Angeles 20 years to be near family. She is an active member of the Artst’s Collaborative of Wakefield. I’ve always kept an active form of illustrating whimsical subjects along with her fine art expressions.
