Kayla Harrison Lends a Hand on North Pole Express

The Massachusetts Bay Commuter Railroad Company (MBCR) recently treated more than 600 underserved children and their families to a magical North Pole Express train ride.

Children wearing pajamas and parents boarded trains decked in holiday regalia for a ride to the North Pole where Santa greeted every child with presents! Along the way, many local personalities, including Olympic Gold Medalist Kayla Harrison (far right) pictured with South Boston’s Madison Jones, Kaylee O’Connor, and Tayrn Reyes, read the famous “Polar Express” book.

Harrison, the first American to win Olympic gold in women's judo, has trained at Pedro's Judo Center in Wakefield.
