Pumpkin Display Features The Work Of Wakefield Students

The downtown was crowded with kids and their families Thursday evening for Wakefield's annual "Fright Night" celebration, featuring trick or treating with the local businesses as well as the annual pumpkin display on the front steps of the library.

Out in front of the library, Joy Schilling, head of the art department at Wakefield High School, told Wakefield Patch that the pumpkin display was created by about 200 students in the WHS Visual Arts Program, joined by a handful of students from the Galvin Middle School Art Club and a couple of members of the community.

As shown in this gallery of photos, the students created some unique and highly detailed pumpkins with a vast range of themes and images. Check them out here.
