Welcome to Wakefield Sunday Chamber Show on North Shore 104.9FM

Tune in to 104.9FM  Today's show is all about the latest happenings in Wakefield Area Chamber business community! Rafael Olmeado, a Wakefield Referee is guest call in today, talking about the Sean Collier Basketball Tournament recently held at MIT and started by Wakefield Area organizers to raise money for the One Fund and Sean Collier Fund at MIT. Wakefield High School basketball team and Wakefield Police Dept also played in this tournament, and many Wakefield area folks attended the tourney, while New Balance and Reebok sponsored. Twenty two teams of first responders and high school basketball teams participated all day on June 29, including Watertown and Cambridge, Stoneham and Medford - from Boston to 128 area. Many of the EMTs who witnessed the marathon bombing and shootings were there, the referees and first responders alll wanted to do something for Sean Collier, the fallen MIT officer in his name. the show recaps the tourney efforts and goals.

Wakefield Chamber Show's host Kendall Inglese, Exec. Director of the Chamber also updates listeners on the many events happening for business in August and September, these include the chamber table at Festival Italia next Saturday, raffling off J'Adore beads, New Balance design your own sneakers, and  also SpeedNetworking program at Boston Sports Club Lynnfield Wed. Aug. 28 and the Thurs. Sept. 26 Biz Expo at Peabody Holiday Inn co hosted by Wakefield and Peabody chambers. Many ribbon cuttings and business card exchanges also going on including Aug. 14 at Woburn Hilton 5-7pm.

Aug. 17th 2-8pm)active everywhere,  Nancy Bertrand of Uncommon Antiques active in Wakefield's Museum, and Jane Good active in the Col. James Hartshorne House, Cheryl Webb Scott, active in the Americal Civic Center, Christy Dole Balance Yoga studio owner, active on the common and doing fundraisers for One Fund.
