Toastmasters to host open house - public invited

The Lakesiders Toastmasters club will host an open house on Monday, May 12th, 6:30 p.m., at the Beebe Library in Wakefield.  The public is invited to attend.

Toastmasters will give you the skills and confidence you need to effectively express yourself in any situation.  Whether you are a professional, student, stay-at-home parent, retiree, or in between jobs, Toastmasters is the most efficient, enjoyable and affordable way of gaining great communication skills.

The open house is a great way for those interested in Toastmasters to receive an introduction to the organization.  At the open house, you will learn about the format of a traditional meeting as well as about the path one takes to become a competent communicator.  Dave Pinkney, Vice President of Public Relations for the Lakesiders, says that "The Toastmasters meeting format is ingenious - it includes a variety of speaking roles, from small to large, that provide opportunities for speakers of all levels."  For members of the public that might be interested, Mr. Pinkney adds  "Lakesiders is a friendly club - come check us out and see if we're right for you."
