Polymnia Choral Society concert "Canticles of Light"

Polymnia Returns to Wakefield for Holiday Concert

Polymnia Choral Society was originally formed in Wakefield

in 1953.  To celebrate its Diamond

Jubilee Season, Polymnia, joined by young people from the Treble Chorus of New

England, will perform in Wakefield on Sunday, December 8, at 3:00 pm. The concert will include not only traditional holiday music such as “Over the River

and Through the Woods” and “Lo, How a Rose,” plus a carol sing, but also less

traditional works.  “There is much

beautiful music celebrating the dark time of the year which is often overlooked

in the holiday season,” said Murray Kidd, Polymnia’s Music Director.  Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for students

and seniors, and $5 for children 12 and under.
They can be purchased at www.polymnia.org or at

Smith’s Drug Store.

This performance is partially supported by the Wakefield Cultural Council.
