About Laurie’s 9:09
“Laurie’s 9:09,” named after the commuter train that chef-owner Laurie Rizzo would catch daily to Boston at 9:09AM, is quickly becoming a restaurant institution in the heart of Wakefield, MA. Opened in 2012, the 60-seat “gastro-diner” sits directly on the commuter rail train tracks and rattles and hums with each passing train and to the sound of live local music each night.

The restaurant combines simple dishes emphasizing high-culinary technique and fresh, local sourcing, with the quaint charm of a local neighborhood diner. Featuring an innovative menu, craft beers and signature cocktails at a modest price point, Laurie’s 9:09 take’s the neighborhood restaurant to a new level. Serving dinner from 5:00PM to 1:00AM Tuesday-Thursday, 4:00PM to 1:00AM Friday & Saturday and 4:00PM to 12:00AM  on Sunday, Laurie’s has a full service, seated bar and live entertainment seven nights a week making it the perfect place to stop in after a long day of work or to reconnect with family and friends. Takeout, catering, and private function space is available.  Laurie’s 9:09 is located at 33 Tuttle Street, Wakefield, MA 01880. For more information visit www.lauries909.com

About PaintNite®:
PaintNite® is a new concept of blending two timeless pastimes, artistic painting and drinking cocktails, as a way to draw patrons into local pubs on a slow night with a unique opportunity to socialize and be creative. The 2-hour PaintNite® painting parties are held daily with 25+ people in attendance who follow the step-by-step instructions of one master local artist from blank canvas to masterpiece.

PaintNite® is about making art accessible to people who don’t consider themselves artists or creative in any way. PaintNite® is about fostering a fun, low stress, non-judgmental environment that inspires everyone to enjoy the process of creating something from nothing. We want the anxiety that people may feel about doing something “wrong”, to be displaced by a fun night of socializing with friends and having a relaxing, creative time. For many customers, PaintNite® will be a novel and memorable experience, as many have not touched a paint brush since elementary school.
