Massachusetts Orchid Society Annual Plant Auction

The Massachusetts Orchid Society proudly presents their Annual Orchid Auction. The social event will be held at the Sons of Italy, 117 Swanton St, Winchester, MA, Tuesday, September 10th, 7 p.m.-9:30 p.m. The auction features various orchids not found in local stores to suit all experience levels and tastes.

In addition to the vast orchid knowledge of auctioneers Dr. Chuck Wingate, Bob Richter, Brandt Moran, and Brian Leib, the event includes live and silent auctions, an information table to address any questions you might have with growing, information sheets, appetizers and a cash bar. 

All orchids for the auction are supplied by national and international vendors A&P Orchids, Swansea, MA; Big Leaf Orchids, Southlake, TX; Cal Orchids, Encinitas, CA; Carter and Holmes, Newbery, SC; J&L Orchids, Easton, CT; New World Orchids, Manchester, MI;  Piping Rock Orchids. Galway, NY; and Seed-Engei Orchids, Japan. Plants from established member growers will be included as well.

Founded in 1962, the Massachusetts Orchid Society (MOS) educates and promotes interest in orchids to the public through distributing information on their culture, development and hybridization. The society meets the second Tuesday of each month at the Sons of Italy in Winchester and includes guest speakers, slide shows, plant clinics and show tables for the display of members' plants.
