A Civil War Christmas

With first class vocalists, a professional string orchestra, and Jacqueline Schwab, the pianist from Ken Burns’ film The Civil War, our popular Christmas concert presents music that inspired Americans at our nation’s most difficult hour. Beloved carols written in the 1860’s by Boston area people, such as It Came Upon The Midnight Clear and O Little Town of Bethlehem, Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker excerpts and Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride are some of the highlights of this holiday musical extravaganza in the concert hall acoustics of our classic New England Meetinghouse. Tickets online or in Wakefield at Parker Florist and Silver Clay.
