Kerri Powers was one of Linden Tree’s early discoveries in the 90’s
when her first recordings were played on WUMB folk radio and our audiences
demanded her return to our stage.   Her
throaty voice complements the songs on her recordings.  She looks for beauty on the darker side of
life with lyrics that are often quirky and whimsical.  Her 2009 release “Faith in the Shadows” was a
collection of ten alternative country, bluesy Americana, and rocking garage
band, sung with the charm of her live performances.  The album garnered much critical acclaim
throughout the US and Europe.

"Her song's landscapes evoke the similar worlds of
artists like Bruce Springsteen or Gillian Welch. And like them, her language
alternates between the poetic and blue collar."

Her self-titled newest release will
feature a song by Janis Ian and newly written original songs. Before limiting
her touring while raising her son, Kerri had appeared at many prestigious
festivals including The Boston Folk Festival, Philadelphia Folk Festival and
the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.  She
has toured throughout the USA and overseas in the Netherlands, Belgium, and the
UK.  With this new CD, Kerri will begin to
reestablish her national audience with the first stop at Linden Tree!

A Wakefield
resident, Kevin made a big splash last year with a strong opening set at the
Linden Tree Coffeehouse as well as several sets at the Wakefield Farmers
Market.  He plays well-crafted original
songs with a variety of guitar styles and his easy-going demeanor makes him a
crowd favorite.

Kevin G.
Moore started performing at the early age of thirteen years old when he
discovered folk music at The Linden Tree Coffeehouse back in 1987.  Quickly
be began performing at coffeehouses around Boston and then spread out to
include all of New England.  Kevin spent ten years in Alaska writing,
recording and performing.  In 2007, he moved back to the Boston area where
he performs once again all over New England and New York and westward at
coffeehouse, cafes, clubs, bars, festivals and private functions. Usually
singing original songs, Kevin is currently on UTUBE singing Born and Raised in Lowell, written by
Michael Noonan. In 2013, Kevin was nominated as Massachusetts Solo Artist of
the Year.

"Kevin's music is both quiet and strong - conveyed with
feeling and conviction. Kevin's got a nice rapport with his audience -
understated, quietly humorous - a nice counterpoint to his songs. Kevin has
continued to write new songs and will present his new EP.

Thanks to support in part
