The Wakefield Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a Business After Hours Networking featuring Town Administrator Steve Maio and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Stephen Zrike on Wednesday evening, January 22nd from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Clarion Inn, 595 North Avenue in Wakefield. The networking opportunity is open to Chamber members and nonmembers.
The speakers are expected to discuss the partnership between the school system and the Town as well as some of the major projects that are in the works, including the Galvin Middle School and the upgrading of the recreational facilities and fields, among others. Town Administrator Maio is also expected to touch upon the Main Street program and the potential for tax breaks for business investments, while Dr. Zrike is expected to outline on his vision for the future of education in Wakefield.
Business After Hour Networking provides Chamber members and others the opportunity to build relationships with other professionals while promoting local businesses, according to Wakefield Area Chamber co-Presidents Suzanne Bowering and Cheryl Carroll.
“The January 22nd networking will provide local business leaders and residents the opportunity to not only meet other professionals and learn about the services and products they offer, it will also enable them to hear from local officials about local issues that can have an effect on their business,” Chamber Business After Hours Chairman Jim Cobb added. “We welcome all current and prospective members to join us at the event, as well as those businesses and residents who want to learn more about the leaders’ visions for the future.”
The cost is $10 for Chamber members and $20 for nonmembers. Reservations are required and can be made by calling Wakefield Area Chamber of Commerce Executive at 781-245-0741 or via email firstname.lastname@example.org.
