Community Corner
Boo at the Zoo
Children
throughout New England are invited to trick-or-treat among the animals.
Thrills, chills, and animals lurk around every corner on the Trick-or-Treat
Trail, which will include candy from UNREAL Candy. Other
haunted happenings include creepy crafts, ghoulish games, costume contests, and
a haunted maze! Throughout the day, people can learn about the importance of
enrichment as they watch as many of the animals receive pumpkins, generously
donated by Whole Foods Melrose, as enrichment items.
MAGIC 106.7,
Zoo New England’s 2013 radio partner, will be onsite on October 19 with music,
games and prizes. Also on October 19, be sure to join the Girl Scouts of
Eastern Massachusetts for fun crafts at Boo at the Zoo.
Zoo New England is pleased to partner with Green
Halloween® for this year’s festivities. Green Halloween is a grassroots
initiative to encourage communities to celebrate healthier and more sustainable
holidays, starting with Halloween. Green Halloween has a simple goal: to keep
fun and happy memories while creating traditions children and parents can feel
great about, now, and in the future. To learn more about Green Halloween visit www.greenhalloween.org.
