Agganis Special Olympics

Now
in its eighth year, the Agganis Special Olympics started as a one day
event with small carnival games, music, food and multiple softball games
throughout the day for Special Olympians from around the area.

The
Eighth Annual Agganis Special Olympics Day will be held Saturday,
September 14, 2013 at World Series Park, 25 Dow Street, Saugus, MA
01906. The day takes on a festival atmosphere that includes softball and
flag football tournaments with the Special Olympians, music, dance,
food, raffles and activities for children. An opening ceremony will take
place at 11:30am.

All proceeds support the Special Olympics.

“Six
years ago I founded the Agganis Special Olympics in Saugus in honor of
my son Gerry who was born with Down syndrome. Gerry inspires me on a
daily basis to help special needs children who deserve every opportunity
to succeed.” – Steve Agganis
