Please mark your calendars and plan on joining us for our 5th Annual 'Tis the Season Holiday Stroll. A traditional annual event scheduled to provide live entertainment throughout the event area.
Entertainment includes indoor and outdoor performers. Entertainment will range from horse drawn carriages, face painting, balloon artist, roaming entertainment - magician and flame juggler, carolers, musical groups, WHS Drumline, EPC Candy Stop, Kris' Kernels, Live Ice Sculpting, A Capella groups, and local dance studio performances throughout the entertainment area.
Leading off the event from the Americal Civic Center to the Beebe Library stairs will be our traditional Holiday Stroll Hat Parade. An opportunity for everyone to let their creative juices flow and don their festive hats. Always a fun way to kick off the Holiday Stroll. The parade will be led by our amazing and award winning WHS marching band. Amidst the parade, further entertainment will be provided by our fabulous dance studios.
It is said a special visitor from the North Pole will be joining us this day. Children will be able to visit Santa who will be located on Albion Street during the Holiday Stroll.
Pre-parade children's activities will be available in the Americal Civic Center from 1:00-2:45 p.m. The Boys & Girls Club of Wakefield will hold their 2nd Annual Festival of Trees, from 1-7 p.m. also at the Americal Civic Center in the soon to be opened Boys & Girls Club.
Continuing with our annual tradition, the Wakefield EPC will be handing out his year's Holiday Stroll bags to the first 500 adults. Our 2013 Merchant's Coupon extravaganza will be included in the 500 bags.
As revelers, you will stroll along Albion and Main Streets and enjoy raffles and incredible offerings provided all by our local merchants. Entertainment will be ongoing from 3-7 p.m. Please visit and support all participating merchants during the 2013 holiday season and get your holiday shopping done.
