What's Up Wakefield? October 18

Tonight - Wakefield Rotary Club holds Haunted Evening benefit for the library at Harrington's featuring presentation by paranormal investigators.

Good morning, here are some things worth knowing this Thursday, October 18, 2012.

Haunted Evening Benefit: Tonight at Harrington’s Restaurant, it’s a Haunted Evening benefit for the Beebe Library. Join host Gary Manley of Radio NightFall and other members of NightFall Paranormal for a presentation on their experiences as paranormal investigators. The program begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 at Holiday Travel and at WakefieldRotaryClub.org, or $15 at the door. All proceeds will benefit the library. Event hosted by Wakefield Rotary Club. Sound Healing: Tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Deborah Capuano’s Massage and Wellness Center at 63 Albion Street welcomes SoundScrapers back for a session of sound healing. The cost is $25 per person – and bring a yoga mat or blanket and a pillow. Call 781-254-3239 for more information.

TV/Monitor Dropoff: The town DPW has announced that on Wednesday, Oct. 24 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and on Saturday, October 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wakefield residents can drop off old TVs and computer monitors at the Nahant Street Yard Waste site. Stickers MUST be purchased at the DPW office at town hall.
