Good morning. Here are some things worth knowing this Friday, October 12, 2012.

Library Event: Today at 3 p.m., the Beebe Library in downtown Wakefield, with Mass. In Motion, hosts a session of active video games such as WiiFit, Dance Dance Revolution, and WiiSports. No signup required, just drop in and bring the family.

Traveling Librarian: Speaking of Mass. In Motion and the Library, on Saturday from 3 to 4 p.m. join Traveling Librarian Jeff Klapes for a walk and talk around Wakefield. The walk starts from the Main Street Plaza.

Friends Of Pleasure Island: This Sunday, Oct. 14 at 10 a.m. , Friends of Pleasure Island President Bob McLaughlin leads a free walking tour of the site of the former amusement park, where the office park presently stands. The event is open to the public and does not require reservations. Participants meet in the first parking lot on the left after entering Edgewater Office Park.

Steps 2 Cure NF Walk: This Sunday, Oct. 14, it’s the sixth annual Steps 2 Cure Neurofibromatosis walk, with registration opening at 12:30 p.m.  Click here for more information.
