What's Up Wakefield? October 1

Get your tickets now for an upcoming presentation by paranormal investigators to raise funds for the Beebe Library.

Good morning. Here are some things worth knowing in Wakefield for Monday, October 1.

On Thursday, October 18th at Harrington’s Restaurant, it’s a Haunted Evening benefit for the Beebe Library. Join host Gary Manley of Radio NightFall and other members of NightFall Paranormal for a presentation on their experiences as paranormal investigators. The program begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 at Holiday Travel and at WakefieldRotaryClub.org, or $15 at the door. All proceeds will benefit the library. Event hosted by Wakefield Rotary Club. Donuts Wednesday Morning?  John Kennedy of Honey Dew Donuts in Wakefield offered to donate 10% of proceeds for all sales from Wednesday, Oct. 3 to Wakefield Schools. The funds will reportedly be put toward the new theater at Wakefield High School, and you can go to both the Lowell Street and Main Street Greenwood Honeydew locations.

The Wakefield Music Boosters will sponsor a comedy night at Giggles Comedy Club at Prince Pizza (517 Broadway, Saugus) on Wednesday, October 10.  Join them for all-you-can-eat pizza beginning at 7:00 and the comedy performance from 8:00 - 9:30 p.m.  Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by contacting Charlene Flint at Charlene.flint@verizon.net.  All proceeds will support music students as they raise fund for their performance in Disney World.
