Eddie's Restaurant and Mexican Grill, which features a mix of Mexican and American food for breakfast and lunch, opened in Wakefield last week.

Wakefield Police pursued a man wanted on four separate warrants for larcencies on Wednesday afternoon, eventually leading to his arrest in Melrose.

Fire Log: Family Evacuated in Carbon Monoxide Scare

The Wakefield Fire Department responded to 63 Gould Street on Feb. 15 for a call that a carbon monoxide detector was sounding. When the fire department arrived, they took a reading of 127 ppm, a very high reading of carbon monoxide in the home. The family was immediately evacuated from the building and the heating system was shut down.

Wakefield Rep. Theater Holding Strong Despite Tough Economy

In spite of financial challenges that have caused other local community theaters to close, the Wakefield Repertory Theater has managed to hold on through the rocky economy.
