Electronics Recycling: Do you have some electronics you want to get rid of? There’s an electronics recycling drive coming up in Wakefield on Saturday, Jan. 5. Click here for more information. 

SEPAC: The Lynnfield Special Education Parents Advisory Council holds a presentation on basic rights in special education this Wednesday, Jan. 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lynnfield Preschool. All are welcome to attend. The workshop will help participants learn about special education law, the processes involving special education, and what their rights are.

Donations For Northeast Animal Shelter: Best Friends Pet Care on 15 Main Street in Wakefield will soon bring a bunch of donated dog and cat supplies over to Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem. Would you like to donate an item or two yourself? .

Word 2010 Classes: The Beebe Library has announced that it will offer four one-hour sessions offering an overview of Microsoft Word 2010. Sessions are are Monday, Jan. 7 at 7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 14 at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 26 at 10 a.m., and Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 7 p.m. For more information or to sign up, call 781-246-6334 x2.

Christmas Tree Pickup: The DPW announced this week that curbside collection of Christmas trees in Wakefield runs the weeks of January 7th and January 14th. Collection takes place on your regularly scheduled recycling pickup day. The week of Jan. 7 is a blue week, and the week of Jan. 14th is a red week. Any question, call the Public Works office at 781-246-6301.
