Travel and Nature Presentations: The Beebe Library welcomes Bill Gette of Mass. Audubon for an ongoing series of presentations on travel and nature around the world. Up next is a talk about the tropics of Central America on Wednesday, February 13th at 7 p.m.

Valentine’s Day Concert: So what are you doing on Valentine’s Day? One local idea is that “Rags to Riches” concert in downtown Wakefield on February 14th, featuring the New England Tenors. Tickets are $30. Click here for more information.

New Play Coming Up: The Quannapowitt Players are putting on a new play by Dustin Lance Black, “8,” which focuses on the legal battle over California’s Proposition 8 same-sex marriage ban. Calling Local Trivia Teams: There’s still time to get your trivia team together to help raise scholarship money for Wakefield students. On Saturday, February 23rd, the Citizens Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield holds its annual Trivia Team Challenge. .

Little League: There’s a walk-in registration for Little League this Saturday, Feb. 9th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus on North Avenue. First time signups need a copy of birth certificate and proof of residency. Those interested in coaching or sponsoring can email info@wakefieldlittleleague.org. Online registration has also been ongoing at www.wakefieldlittleleague.org.
