Job Shadowing Day: Wakefield Memorial High School is looking for working professionals to partner with students in the Junior Class during its 7th Annual Job Shadow Day on Thursday, March 21st, 2013.  The day is designed to give students an opportunity to “shadow” a professional for a portion of the day to see what their job entails. Last over 100 WMHS students had the unique opportunity to participate in this event. Wakefield Democrats have their caucus this Saturday, February 16th at the Americal Civic Center with doors opening at 9 a.m. to noon. Delegates to the 2013 state convention will be selected. Click here for more information.

Try Hockey For Free: Coming up on Saturday, February 16th – Wakefield Youth Skating Association (WYSA) and Hockey USA are offering a Try Hockey for Free event with an 8:30 a.m. sign up and 9 to 10 a.m. ice session at Hockey Town on Route 1 in Saugus.  Bring warm clothes, winter gloves, ice skates, a helmet (hockey type preferred) and a stick. WYSA will also have a limited amount of protective gear. Registration is also at www.tryhockeyforfree.com.
