Chris Herren: The Wakefield Warrior Club has announced that former NBA player Chris Herren will speak in Wakefield on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 7:00PM at the Galvin Middle School Auditorium about his battles with substance abuse. The event will be open to the entire community and will be free of charge. Click here for more information.

History Of Christmas: This Monday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m., stop by the Beebe Library for a talk on “Three Centuries of Christmas in New England,” with Kenneth C. Turino of Historic New England.  To sign up to attend, click here.

State Senator Katherine Clark reports that she will not have a constituent service hour this month at the Wakefield Senior Center, as is usually the case. However, she does have one scheduled for this Friday, Dec. 7 at Lynnfield Town Hall, 55 Summer Street, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
